ASR transcribes → AI writes a full description with a hook, body, chapters, hashtags and CTA — tuned for YouTube's algorithm and human readers.
Copy the block and paste it into your video's description in YouTube Studio. Save. Done.
Not a summary — a real, keyword-optimized description with hook, body, chapters, hashtags and CTA
First 160 characters (what shows above "Show more") is a standalone hook that earns the click on the "Show more" tap
Timestamped chapters land inside the description automatically — one paste, both jobs done
3 relevant hashtags at the bottom — the ones YouTube actually surfaces above the title
English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, and 30+ more — matches your video's language automatically
Description ships with 3 title options, tags, chapters, and 3 thumbnail variants — one upload, complete metadata bundle
A youtube description generator has to fit a 5000 character limit. The youtube description character limit is shown in Studio as 5,000 characters, while the Data API documents it as 5,000 bytes and rules out angle brackets. Emoji and non-Latin letters use more than one byte each, so such text can hit the API limit sooner.
YouTube describes a description as two parts: what viewers see before they click Show more on desktop or more on mobile, and everything below. Its advice is to use the first part to describe the video, since that is what people read first (YouTube Help).
The first 157 characters is the common rule of thumb for how much of that first part shows before the fold. Treat it as an estimate: YouTube publishes no such number, and the cut moves with device and layout. So TubeWizz's AI description writer is instructed to make the first one or two lines, about that length, a complete hook on their own, then keep the whole text inside 5,000 characters.
Use this youtube description template as a structure, not a script. It follows the order the generator writes in, plus a links block you add yourself, and each block has one job.
[One or two sentences: what the video shows and who it's for.
Put your main keyword here.]
[A short paragraph on what the viewer will learn or see,
using the same main words naturally.]
00:00 Intro
01:10 [First section]
03:45 [Second section]
07:20 [Third section]
[Links: related video, playlist, your website]
[One line asking viewers to subscribe or comment]
#BroadTopic #SpecificTopic #SeriesNameTwo blocks follow YouTube's rules rather than style. The timestamp list only turns into chapters if it starts at 00:00, has at least three timestamps in ascending order, and every chapter lasts at least 10 seconds. The timestamp and chapter generator covers those rules in detail. The rest is flexible: a short vlog can drop the chapters, and a tutorial can grow the middle paragraph.
For youtube description ideas from your niche, pull a few competitor descriptions with the description extractor and compare their structure with this one. Keep yours unique: YouTube asks for a different description on every video.
YouTube's own help pages say it does. They list the title, thumbnail and description as more important for discovery than tags, recommend featuring your one or two main words in both the description and the title, and say a unique description makes a video easier to find through search.
What YouTube doesn't publish is how much weight the description carries, or whether repeating a keyword helps. Treat it as context: plain language that explains the video gives search something to match and gives a viewer a reason to keep watching. Stuffed keywords do the opposite.
There is a second audience. Google Search can use timestamps from YouTube descriptions to show key moments of a video, which puts individual sections in front of people searching on Google.
The generator writes from your transcript in the same SEO Wizard run that produces tags, chapters and three titles, the part covered on the AI title generator page. Edit the draft before you paste it. It is a starting point that already matches what you said.
