What Can You Learn About Any YouTube Channel's Audience#

YouTube shows a channel's real viewer countries, ages and devices only to the channel's owner. For any other channel, the best public trace of the audience is its comments: who wrote them, when, and in which language. A YouTube channel analyzer can turn those traces into useful hints, as long as it is clear they are estimates.

Warning
There is no public way to tell a channel’s viewers’ age or gender. Tools that show those for someone else’s channel are guessing from avatars or names; this one doesn’t.

Commenters are a small slice of viewers, and not a typical one: on most videos only a few people in a thousand leave a comment, and a few regulars write a large share of them. That is why every estimate here comes with how many comments and commenters it is based on, and why none is rated high confidence.

YouTube notes that some of this data, such as geography or gender, can be limited. Connecting your channel to TubeWizz shows your top countries next to your other channel stats.

Using Audience Data for Sponsorships and Collabs#

  1. 1Price the deal. Where viewers are changes what brands pay. Send the estimate to the Sponsorship Rate Calculator to start from the right audience setting.
  2. 2Check the fit. A brand selling in one country gets little from an audience mostly elsewhere. Compare the region estimate with where the brand sells.
  3. 3Pick collab partners. Channels whose audiences share languages and interests are easier to cross over. Find them with Collab Potential.
  4. 4Plan uploads and live streams. The activity map shows when commenters are around; your own channel’s real version is the “When your viewers are on YouTube” report.

FAQ

YouTube Audience Analyzer FAQ

Not the real ones. YouTube shows a channel’s viewer countries, ages and devices only to its owner, in YouTube Studio. For any other channel, this tool estimates the audience from public comments: where commenters likely are, which languages they write in, what they are into and when they are active.

It is a hint, not a measurement. Commenters are a small share of viewers and not a typical one, so every card shows how many comments and commenters it is based on and a confidence level of medium or low, never high. Channels with fewer than 100 recent comments from 50 people get no estimate at all.

From three signals. The country commenters list on their own YouTube channels counts for half, the time of day they comment counts for 30%, and the language they write in counts for 20%. Language counts least because English, in particular, says nothing about the country.

Because there is no public signal that supports it. Guessing from profile pictures or names is unreliable and can mislead a brand or creator, so this tool doesn’t do it. Your own channel’s age and gender split is on the Audience tab in YouTube Studio.

Sign in to YouTube Studio, select Analytics in the left menu, then Audience at the top. It shows top geographies, age and gender, when your viewers are on YouTube, devices and more, based on everyone who watched.

The analyzer says there aren’t enough comments to estimate the audience and shows no guess. It may still show the country the channel lists, which says where the creator is, not the viewers.

Yes, with no sign-up. You can analyze 3 new channels a day. A channel anyone analyzed in the last 3 days loads instantly and doesn’t count toward your limit.
