A YouTube niche finder saves time, but the raw signals behind YouTube keyword research are all public. The goal is simple: find topics people search for where the videos ranking today are beatable.
The Trend Research mode above runs these checks in one pass and saves the result.
You will find plenty of lists of "best niches" online. Treat them with care: a niche that appears on a public list is, by definition, the one everybody else is reading about too. There is also no official source for which niches are easiest, and YouTube does not publish ad rates by niche, so claims about the most profitable youtube niches are third-party estimates at best.
Finding low competition youtube niches works better as a repeatable test than as a list. A topic is worth a closer look when three things line up: people search for it (suggestions and related searches keep appearing), the top results come from channels of a size you can compete with, and many of those top videos are old or thin. Region matters too. A topic crowded in the US can be wide open in Germany or Brazil, which is why the tool asks for a country and searches with that region code.
The competition score is TubeWizz's own model, not a YouTube metric. It looks at the 15 most relevant videos YouTube returns for your keyword in the selected region, plus the channels behind them, and turns five signals into a number from 0 to 100. Views and subscribers are measured on a log scale, so a jump from 1,000 to 10,000 counts as much as one from 100,000 to 1 million.
A score under 35 is labeled Low, 35 to 64 is Medium and 65 or more is High. Read it as a starting point: a Low score on a keyword nobody searches is not an opportunity, so check it against the Keywords and Opportunities tabs before you commit.
These tools answer different questions, and using the wrong one first wastes effort. YouTube niche research happens before you film: which topic, for which region, against whom. Keyword and tag tools help after the topic is fixed, when you are packaging a specific video. The table shows where each one starts and what it can see. The niche finder is the only one of the three that looks at other channels at all, which is why it belongs at the very start of the process.
| Feature | Niche Finder (this page) | AI Keywords Generator | Tags Generator |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starts from | A topic and a country | Your own uploaded video | A topic you type |
| Shows the videos and channels you compete with | Yes | No | No |
| Competition score | Yes | No | No |
| Uses what you said on camera | No | Yes | No |
| Best moment to use it | Before filming | After editing | While uploading |
A practical order: pick the topic here, film it, then run the finished video through the AI keywords generator so the keywords match what you actually said. If a rival keeps winning the searches you want, a competitor analysis shows their tags, top videos and upload pace side by side with yours.
Region-specific niche keywords and competition scores in one search.
