Frequently asked questions
Is the extension free?
Yes. The SEO score, Quick Actions, and Vs-your-channel comparisons are always free. AI Improve consumes 1 TubeWizz credit per call (new accounts start with 15 free credits).
Do I need a TubeWizz account?
No — the score overlay works anonymously on every watch page. Sign in on tubewizz.com only when you want AI Improve, channel comparison, or one-click Send-to-Wizard.
Does it read my YouTube account?
No. The extension only reads the public video metadata (title, description, tags) already on the page you're viewing. It never touches your YouTube account, subscriptions, watch history, or any signed-in state.
How is this different from vidIQ or TubeBuddy?
Those extensions show you metrics and leave the interpretation to you. TubeWizz shows a single 0-100 score with per-component reasons, then lets you fix each component with GPT-4o-mini suggestions in one click — plus deep-links to a full SEO / thumbnail / comment / trend studio.
Does it work on Firefox?
Not yet. We ship on Chrome and Edge today (they share the same store engine). A Firefox build is on the roadmap once we clear the Chrome review.
What data leaves my browser?
Three things: (1) your session cookie on calls to app.tubewizz.com — how we know you're signed in; (2) the video URL and current metadata when you click AI Improve or Send-to-Wizard; (3) nothing else. No third-party analytics. No trackers. No ad pixels.
